Thursday January 22- 1931 Mrs Gay helped me press my coat in AM. I had letter from Emma Herriott and Charlie Coddington I worked on the rug in PM. and read late in evening Friday January 23- 1931 I worked on the rug what spare time I had. Ott here for dinner. Rob took me home with him at supper time. Home by taxi at 11-oclock. Saturday January 24- 1931 I was busy all forenoon. Mary took me up town soon after dinner. I did some errands. Was at Dr Urbans for a treatment Walked home. was very tired. Read some & went to bed early. Hattie went to Burlington on the afternoon train Sunday January 25- 1931 went to church with Ott. After I had my dinner I wrote Mattie Fletcher, Margie Hartsock Mrs Falk and Sister Ida. After supper William & Mary took my letters to the office & brought me a book to read Monday January 26- 1931 I worked on the rug most of the day. It was a year ago tonight since the first [Delavan?] dinner in Chicago. I read in the evening. Early to bed. Tuesday January 27- 1931 a letter from Laura. telling Cousin Jen not well I wrote to her. I worked on the rug all the afternoon after doing some washing. Hattie got home from Burlington and spent the evening here. wrote [Martie?] Mason [Patten?]
