Monday February 16- 1931 I did some washing wrote Ida & Cousin Ella in A M. Mary took me for treatment in P M and brought me home. I stopped at Library for books Sent check in evening for six tickets for Mrs Fisher play for the 25- Read till bed-time. Tuesday February 17- 1931 I did ironing and finished lining my coat in A M. began a rug for Mrs Gay. letter from LeGrand. worked on rug in PM. Read in evening. Wednesday February 18- 1931 I worked on the rug all my spare time. Letter from Winnie I read in evening. a misty foggy day Thursday February 19- 1931 I made apples in syrup for the church. had letters from Ida & Millie. Soon after dinner Cora phoned that William had been taken sick on the way from Cedar Rapids. Mary & Rob went after him They got a Dr & nurse. Ott finished the McCallister will contest in the PM. Cora came at 5 - oclock and took me to the church It was a pleasant affair. Ott came for the supper and brought me home. I wrote Winnie later. Mrs Gay up awhile Friday February 20- 1931 It is 86 years today since Father & Mother were married I went over to The hospital by Bus The Dr says William has The Flu. Hattie here in the AM. She had been over there. No on sees him
