Monday August 3rd 1931 I did some ripping ready to sew some. I slept in the afternoon. Evening on the porch with the family here. Letter from Mrs Falk. Tuesday August 4- 1931 I was sewing most of the day Hattie here in the afternoon. After supper she came back with Rob & Cora. We rode to The Air Post to see the big plane. letter from Winnie. It is getting warm again. Wednesday August 5- 1931 I sewed most of the day fixing the dress I got in Delavan Too hot to sleep in PM. After supper LeGrand came to take me over there. Ott out on the porch. Later we went up to Whetstones awhile letter from Mattie Stitt. Thursday August 6- 1931 Still hot. I did a little washing. Tishie Hedges here to tell of trip to Delavan. Sewed some. After supper William & Mary came and took me to ride. They had a friend with them. A very warm day and evening. letter from Ida. Wrote Mrs Falk Winnie & Ida. Friday August 7- 1931 I finished fixing my dress in AM. slept awhile in PM. Rob took Hattie & me over to Byingtons after supper. A pleasant evening with the family. LeGrand brought us home Saturday August 8- 1931 Cora & Hattie came and took me up there for the day. Came home with Rob after supper. I was down on the porch with Mrs Gartner all the evening It has been a very warm day. letter from Will Work.
