Thursday August 20- 1931 I did some work about the house. wrote Winnie & Mrs Doyle. I slept in afternoon Hattie came and was here for supper. LeGrand came and took us over there to spend the evening. His last night here. Friday August 21st 1931 I was busy about the house. Mary brought me some pickles to take care of. LeGrand here a few minutes. After dinner he came and with Hattie we went to the cemetery and put flowers on all the graves. I did some errands and stopped at home. After supper he came again and I went with him up to Whetstones to tell them good-by He leaves at 11.15 tonight. how we have enjoyed him. Saturday August 22- 1931 I put up my pickles this AM. I had a letter from Mattie Stitt. her brother Major Briggs passed away last Tuesday in Los Angeles. I wrote Mamie Briggs, Ida & Laura I slept in afternoon Walter Lee of Chicago called with his family before I had supper. Hattie and I went to picture show later Sunday August 23- 1931 William took me to SS & church. I rode home with The Andersons. Otts family with Jose Walker went down to Washington Co. When they came back took me on home with them. Ott & I visiting over events of 1915 most of the evening. William & Mary brought me home
