Monday September 7- 1931 I talked to Louie Bremner and we went over there for the day. Such a good visit. The Lovegoods came in the evening. They took me a ride down to the city. Winnie thought best to not go. a very warm day Tuesday September 8- 1931 I had a taxi to come to The Station Winnie came with me. I have had a nice visit. It was a warm day to come home. I had my supper here. Did some telephoning. went to bed early. letter from Louie Wednesday September 9- 1931 I gave the rooms a good cleaning. Did some washing. got things in to eat. Slept awhile in afternoon wrote Winnie and some in this book very warm Thursday September 10- 1931 Mary took me up town to do errands. Hattie came here for dinner and Ott took us to The Old Settlers picnic in the afternoon. It was very warm. I wrote The Lovegoods and Birdie in the PM I was down on the porch all evening. Friday September 11- 1931 I slept very well. wrote Laura before mail time. It was too hot to do anything. I wrote LeGrand & The Brown Girls at Piketon after dinner. Then slept awhile I got my supper early and went out to Andersons for grapes. Was over to see Aunt Emma & Anna both very miserable. Home by Bus at nine oclock. The Byingtons had been here to see me.
