112 Saturday July 30- 1932 Spent the A M writing to Hattie Ott Seibert Birdie & Mattie Stitt when not talking with the girls In P M took Dickey Templeton a friend of his and Mrs Hatten to ride. They stayed here for supper and we took them home at bed-time. a busy day. Sunday July 31st 1932. Went to S.S & Church saw many I knew. Had dinner at home. about three oclock went to The Church for the flowers. Mr Meister went with us to the cemetery Later Mrs Smale of Washington D.C. came. Then The Fachlers as well with a Miss Garret visiting in Delavan They were here for supper and the evening Mrs Smale stayed on Monday August 1st 1932. It rained most of the night. so much cooler a special delivery from Hattie this morning told They went home by Burlington and that Libbie Stevens died Friday and would be buried yesterday Later wrote Erma Herriott. rode up town with The Girls Tuesday August 2- 1932 A heavy rain last night. The Girls had a luncheon for 12 ladies. Harry & Mabel came before noon. It was a most pleasant gathering. I enjoyed being with the ladies Wrote Ida and sent Hatties letter of yesterday Cards to Nellie Winnie & Mattie Stitt. After supper we rode out to Woods for Mrs Smales mail and stopped up town awhile another letter from Hattie told about Libbie Stevens funeral. A warm day.
