Thursday August 18- 1932. I wrote Ida in AM. and Hattie after dinner a letter from her tells Carrie Anderson no better Mrs Flager and Mrs Anders spent the afternoon with us. Laura took them home. Weather cooler. Friday August 19- 1932. Letter from Ella Nagle. I wrote Mattie Stitt & Grace Taylor. The girls busy with the work At three oclock Laura took me with several other ladies to an annual church meeting of Fred Allens in the country. Mr Will Alexander brought us home Saturday August 20- 1932. I rode over town with Edith. Called at Woolfs Taylors and Lizzie Duncans. Edith came for me at 11.30 Rested in PM Evening at Dr Fochlers Sunday August 21st 1932 To S.S in AM and to cemetery. After dinner took The Davidson girls and rode to Linclon called at Parsons. Evening at home. Did some packing to get started home tomorrow Monday August 22- 1932. We let at 8.30, brought Edith Pittsford to Peoria reached Kewanee about 11.30, had lunch there and came on to Rock Island. Were detained to lose about an hours time there by congested travel at the bridge. Reached home at 5. PM. Hattie here Winnie went home with her. After supper went down to Jeff McCallisters. Then up to Whetstones for long call.
