Tuesday October 18- 1932. I wrote Hattie in AM and read Iowa City papers I slept in the afternoon while Alberta was busy Later I wrote Lois Simpson and M E Culbertson that I would see them Wednesday October 19- 1932. I read in AM. Alberta out with our neighbor to get things for the house Mrs Charlie Rogers who lived in Iowa City at one time spent afternoon here. A card from Emily Toon at [Centraria] wanting me to come there. Thursday October 20- 1932. Wrote Ida in AM. Letter from Hattie. LeGrand came from The hospital early and took me over to Oakland to visit The Rowes. I found them nicely situated. Kate much better than I expected to see her Friday October 21st 1932. I spent the AM visiting with The Rowes I went out with him for lunch. I talked with Frank Fletcher about four oclock the taxi came to take me to The Electric car for the ferry Got here all right Saturday October 22- 1932. Alberta went to market with a lady. Who later took us for a ride around Hospital grounds. I wrote & rested in PM. LeGrand went to Oakland to meet a guest. I listened to Pres Hoover on radio. Sunday October 23- 1932. LeGrand and friend away part of AM Alberta busy I read the papers and did packing. We had a late dinner at 5. oclock LeGrand went with me to Oakland and put me on the train for Grants Pass. Went to bed early.
