Monday October 24- 1932. I reached Grants Pass at ten oclock. Maurice met me I rested in the PM I miss Anna who was taken away last July. Maurice talked much about her and his business prospects. Eugene & wife are here with him Tuesday October 15- 1932. I left Grants Pass at ten oclock, reaching Creswell at 3.45 Mr Simpoon and Lois met me I spent a pleasant evening with them. Weather delightful. Wednesday October 26- 1932. We found the train I came on yesterday would not stop for me. So I left Creswell at 1040 on a bus for Portland. It was 180 miles. I had a longer wait than if I had gone by train. I made a pleasant acquaintance in Mrs Thompson (the matron) I left for Boise at 9.30. Went right to bed. Thursday October 27- 1932. I reached Boise at one oclock. Ralph Black met me Blanche had dinner ready I slept awhile in PM. The evening visiting with the family. I miss The Fletchers. Friday October 28- 1932. The forenoon soon passed I talked with Mrs Mendenhall about her Aunt Ida [Berketts] death. She was brought to Salt Lake and buried beside her family After early dinner they took me to the train. I got good Pullman space before reaching Pocatella The car well filled. Had supper with a lady by invitation out of her lunch box. Went to bed early.
