Tuesday January 1st 1929 I was home all day. I could not eat much on account of my teeth hurting me so I wrote W. B. M. Ella Nagle & Edith Whetstone read a book Wednesday January 2 1929 I still cough some. Was not out all day. Hattie stopped here in the morning before she went to the church she came back in afternoon and stayed till bed-time. I had letter from Ida and Mrs Falk Thursday January 3 1929 I was late with my breakfast. Letter from Lorna telling how they are. Wrote Cousin Jen and sent her the letter I went to Aunt Ermas by street car Mary Price goes home tomorrow I rode back with Floyd and [Mallie?]. Mrs. [Gartner?] in for the evening Friday January 4 1929 I worked all forenoon doing cleaning Wrote Lorna after dinner and went to Library. Paid some bills and went to a picture show. It was dark and snowing when I came out. The Doyles in town Mrs. Doyle called with Miss Schneider. A letter from Emma Herriott Saturday January 5. 1929 This is Mothers birthday It snowed all day I was not out of the house I did some washing and got my meals. slept a while. talked over the phone and rec'd card from Marcie Briggs
