Saturday March 30th 1929 I got up at seven oclock and had breakfast in the station at Washington DC. Left then at 9.30 for Chillicothe. I rode most of the day through woods, hills & mountains. John Stitt met me though it was mid-night. I was tired so soon went to bed. Glad to be here. Sunday March 31st 1929 Mattie & I went to church. A good Easter service. Mrs Dave Stitt was with us. After church went to Johns office. Then with him to a nice place for dinner. It rained in PM. We all had a sleep. Monday April 1st 1929 It was colder and very windy. I did not go out. Read some and visited with Mattie. I had letters from Hattie & Winnie. Card about Delavan Chicago Club. Tuesday April 2nd 1929 I wrote Hattie, Mrs Falk, & Winnie. Letter from Ida, sent her a card. Went with Mattie to W. C. T. U. meeting. Then called at Mr. Goldsburrys office and on to see Josephine Esker. Mattie & I to picture show in evening. Wednesday April 3rd 1923 Wrote Bro Ott & Mollie Stevens in AM. Rested in PM. Went with Mattie to church supper in the evening. Thursday April 4th 1929 I left Chillicothe on 10.30 urban car for Columbus and on to Granville by Bus. There was a shower at noon. Spent evening visiting with Ida & family. Letter from Cora sent back from DeLand.
