Tuesday May 14th 1929 I was busy with crotcheting and cut out my Kimono. It rained part of the day. I went after my teeth at four oclock. After supper wrote Edith Mason. I had a letter from her today and from Betty Boswell and Louie Bremner. Wednesday May 15th 1929 I sewed all day on my Kimono and got it done. Had a nice letter from Nellie. Hattie & Robert came for me in the evening to go to the S.U.I play "Pygmalion". It was so good. Weather unseasonably cool. Thursday May 16th 1929 I did some sewing and was uptown in the forenoon Read a little in PM. After supper Rob & Hattie came for me to go to The Church to see Russell Hunter ordained as a minister. Beautiful service. Alberta got here this afternoon. LeGrand comes June 1st. Letter from Ida. Friday May 17th 1929 I did some washing. Went up to the Furniture store and bought a desk for myself. I rested some in the afternoon and read in the evening after going over to Byingtons with Hattie alone. Saturday May 18, 1929 I ironed after changing the hem on my silk kimono. Then I cleaned out the desk and the man brought my new one. I wrote Ida & Nellie before time to go out Fannies to the party. Cora took Hattie & me over. Such a nice time. Mrs Volland brought us home. We had supper and went to the picture show of Abies Irish Rose. Then she went home. I did some errands on the way down.
