Thursday May 23rd 1929 I put in forenoon cleaning paint of a stand. Was up town a little while. Painted it after dinner and later sent to Byingtons with The Whetstones. Then we called at Aunt Emmas. A hard rain at supper time, Read in evening. LeGrand is 35 years old today. Friday May 24th 1929 I painted my stand again and went up town. I took a sleep in afternoon. Letter from Lydia. I wrote to her. The Whetstones and Birdie came for me to go to a picture show in the evening. Weather pleasant today. Saturday May 25th 1929 I did some washing and went up town. In the PM the Whetstones called for me and we went over to Fannies to spend the afternoon. ironed after I came home. Sunday May 26th 1929 I went to S S & church with Elmer. Got my dinner and had a nap. Then The Whetstones & Birdie came to go to Stevens. Had supper soon after we got back. Read in evening. Monday May 27th 1929 Went over and voted for Air Port. Then up town. Hattie and Birdie for the day. Letter from Winnie. In the evening wrote Mattie Stitt. Sent old letter about her Mother when a child. Tuesday May 28th 1929 It was very warm. I was busy with different things. The Whetstones took Birdie and Helen Whinery to Cedar Rapids for the day. I wrote Mrs Falk in the evening.
