Wednesday May 29th 1929 Mrs Gay had the door fixed in AM. We turned the rug around and I did cleaning. Sewed in PM. After supper The Whetstone came and we went to the cemetery to decorate the graves. Very warm with showers. Robert Whetstones birthday 46 old today. Thursday May 30th 1929 Decoration Day. I was busy sewing after doing some washing in AM. The Byingtons took me up to Hatties for the afternoon. Later Hattie & Birdie came here and we went to The S. U. I. concert. Still warm, very tired tonight. Friday May 31st 1929 Wrote Joe Woolf early in the AM. Did regular work, had letter from Mattie Fletcher. Wrote Winnie. The Whetstones took Birdie to the station. I was with them. Then Cora left Hattie and me at Mrs G. H. Millers to a reception. Later called at Rhinds and looked at The Johnson flower garden. We had supper at Legion Bldg and went to S. U. I. play. It was out side. Did not stay long. Saturday June 1st 1929 It was raining this morning but I went up town. Rested in afternoon. Wrote Lydia. After supper to library for books. Read one. A letter from Winnie telling her Bro Dick died Thursday night. Sunday June 2nd 1929 Went to S S with the Anderson. There was no church. Read most of afternoon. Went to Byingtons with The Whetstones. LeGrand got here last night. Rob & Cora came later. He was having a class reunion. We had such a happy evening. Did not get home till bed-time. Very cool for this time of year.
