Thursday June 13th 1929 The folks started back to Delavan at nine oclock. I put the house in order and worked on the rug. In the evening wrote Winnie & Birdie. Cool cloudy. Friday June 14th 1929 I wrote Ida this morning and went to Allie Halson Seiberts funeral. Rode back with The Andersons. Later Hattie and Cora came and we went up to The Red Ball to talk to Mrs Dunham about a dinner I am to give Sunday. I worked on the rug the rest of the day. LeGrand & Alberta home tonight. Saturday June 15th 1929 I was home all day working on Hatties rug. I put the house in order after supper and went to bed early. Cora, Hattie, Fannie & Alberta in Cedar Rapids in PM. Sunday June 16th 1929 I went to S S with The Anderson. After church we all went up to The Red Ball. I rode with Otts folks. The Anderson brought Orie Spencer. Cora had such beautiful flowers and place cards on the tables. We had a pleasant time. Ott & William went to Mason City. I went home with The Byingtons for awhile. Monday June 17th 1929 I was busy with different things and worked on Hatties rug some. In the afternoon The Whetstones came and took me over to Fannies for luncheon at one oclock. A very pleasant party. The younger women played cards. The girls brought me home at 5 oclock. Evening reading.
