Tuesday July 2nd 1929 Ida and I went up town together. I paid some bills did a few errands and came back. Mr Rhind and Nell Swisher called in afternoon. Ida was out to see Aunt Emma. I wrote Ott and took the letter to PO. Wednesday July 3rd 1929 I hemmed some towels for Ida and worked on Hatties rug the rest of the time. Letter from Mrs Falk and I wrote Mrs Doyle at Ft Madison. Ida up town in AM. Thursday July 4th 1929 I did some sewing on the machine before Cora came to take us up there for the day. We had such a nice day. It was quiet up there. When Cora brought us home we went to the cemetery first. Home in evening. A year ago today Ott & Fannie started to Ireland. Oh dear to think of what a change since then. The Wylies called at Hatties today. Friday July 5th 1929 I did some sewing in AM. At noon Hazel came and took us to Orie Spencers. A nice visit. They brought us home about 5 oclock. Word from The Byingtons they are getting along very well. Saturday July 6th 1929 I worked on Hatties rug what time I could spare from the work. Minnie Showers and Mollie Stevens both here in the afternoon. I had a letter from Mrs Art Robinson. Ida and I sat on the porch after supper. I went to the library for a couple of books. Some rain today.
