Thursday July 18th 1929 I was busy about the house most of the forenoon. Had letter from Ida. After dinner wrote to her and to Winnie, Birdie & Mrs Falk. The Byingtons came at fine oclock. We took Hattie with us to the cemetery. I got my supper and read in the evening. Friday July 19th 1929 I went up town this morning for several things I wanted. I worked on Hatties rug on the afternoon. When Mary came for Ott we went to the cemetery. I wrote to Lydia in the evening after reading the papers. weather cool. Saturday July 20th 1929 It is a month today since Fannie was taken away. I worked on Hatties rug. Wrote to LeGrand. Went to The PO late in the afternoon. Read a book in the evening. Letter from Winnie. Sunday July 21st 1929 A pleasant day. Ott came for me about eleven oclock. In the afternoon The Whetstones were there. Hattie still suffering with that poison. Evening on the porch. Monday July 22nd 1929 I worked at Hatties rug. She was here in PM as was Nellie Swisher. Ott here for dinner. Evening on the porch. Tuesday July 23rd 1929 I am 78 years old today. Rob took me home with him for dinner. At five oclock Mary & Ott came. we got Hattie, went to the cemetery and to Tiffen with picnic supper. The Whetstones gave me letter [leather?] [purse?]. Mary handkerchief. Julia M--- cake. A letter from Lydia. A very hot day and night.
