Monday October 21st 1929
I did my packing. We came to The Station soon after
lunch. It was a warm ride to Tucson. Stopped at The
Congress Hotel across the street from The Station. Wrote
Mabel McDougall before supper. Later Bro Ott, Lydia & LeGrand.
Tuesday October 22nd 1929
Left Tucson at 3.30 AM. Went right to bed again. I
read part of the day. Two meals in the dinner. Early to bed.
Wednesday October 23rd 1929
It was much colder today. Reached Oklahoma City at
3.30. Was up at Cousin Jens in a few moments by
taxi. Letter from Hattie. Spent evening visiting.
Thursday October 24th 1929
I wrote Hattie, Joe Williams & Corrie Wilson. Read to
Ira awhile. I was down town in PM, ordered a
reservation for Monday. Saw Stella at a store where
she is showing goods. She spent the evening here.
Friday October 25th 1929
Jane and I had a ride to Arts farm in the AM
with Grace & Elizabeth. It was noon when we got
back. I was over to Phillips in PM. Stella here for supper.
Saturday October 26th 1929
I wrote LeGrand and Ott Seibert. Was down town
in AM. After dinner went to PO with package.
Then out to Mitchells. Gertrude brought me
home. The 101 Show in town. Art & Ella went.
Stella here till late bed-time. A beautiful day.
