Tuesday December 10th 1929 Some friends of the Girls took me to Peoria. I had lunch at The Piere Marquette where I got the bus for Burlington. Stopped at The Hotel. Birdie & I had supper and spent evening together. The fog is very bad. Just such weather when Will died eleven years ago. Wednesday December 11th 1929 Was in my room in forenoon. Birdie took me to a church dinner. Cal Eggleston was with us. I came home on the four oclock bus. I talked with The Gays awhile. I had letter from Mrs Doyle & Lou Simpson. Thursday December 12th 1923 I was up town to do errands. Went up to see Ott a little while. After dinner Mary took me up to Hattie to spend afternoon. Mrs Mass & Buddy there too. Letter from Ida today. She is in McAllen Texas. Friday December 13th 1929 I did some washing and cleaned up the house. I made a pair of pillow cases to send Alberta. I was down stairs awhile in the evening. Saturday December 14th 1929 I went up town early to get some things I needed. Ott & Hattie were here for dinner. She stayed till nearly dark. I then washed dishes and got my supper. A letter from Mattie Fletcher. I worked all evening at tatting. Weather cloudy and not very cold. some fog.
