Saturday December 21st 1929 I did more writing and got box ready for Delavan. Went up town early in PM to do a few errands. Worked on tatting and finished it for pillow cases. Sunday December 22nd 1929 Ott took me to S S & church. Hattie came home with me to dinner. Then we went to The Community sing at The Legion Bldg. Mrs Raymond came home with us and Mary took us to The Presbyterian church. Evening at home. Very tired. Went to bed early. Monday December 23rd 1929 Did some writing before I went up town to do some final shopping. Ott here for dinner. I worked all afternoon and evening on Mrs Gays pillow cases. and handkerchief for Mrs Gartner. A lot more mail today. Letter from Ida. Wrote Nellie & sent money to her & Betty. Tuesday December 24th 1929 I did up packages most of forenoon. William came at one oclock and took me to the cemetery. I came home by street car. Did some writing to Ida. After supper went up to Whetstones. Then to Byingtons to open Christmas packages. William brought me home. Wednesday December 25th 1929 Christmas day. The Whetstones came for me to go to Otts. We had a fine dinner and display of presents. William and Mary invited out for supper. Ott took me up to Hatties. Mrs Shafter & daughter were there. We visited and listened to The Radio. Ott brought me home at ten oclock. So our first Christmas was spent with Dear Fannie gone.
