Monday January 6th 1930 I was busy about the house most of forenoon. Went up town soon after dinner, paid some bills, got money at the back, met Hattie and went to see "The Virginian." She came home with me to wait for Rob. I spent most of the evening down stairs listening to Radio. Letter from Winnie. Tuesday January 7th 1930 A letter from Laura. I wrote her before noon. Ott here for dinner. I did washing in afternoon and read most of the evening. Wrote Cousin Jen, sent Lauras letter. Wednesday January 8th 1930 Mrs Gay took me to The church at ten oclock for the all day meeting. I walked home. Stopped to get my kitchen clock. I was very tired. William & Mary called in evening. I read till bed-time. Thursday January 9th 1930 A raging snow storm. I wrote Winnie in forenoon. Later I wrote Mattie Fletcher, Martha Garrett & Lizzie Duncan. I then slept for an hour. In the evening read and wrote Mattie Stitt. Colder tonight. Friday January 10th 1930 I put in all forenoon with house work. I cleaned silver and went all over the house. Rested awhile in afternoon. Hattie was here for awhile.. I had a letter from Ott Seibert and wrote her in evening. Did some reading and was down stairs talking to The Gays awhile.
