Wednesday January 22nd 1930 The coldest morning in years (32 below). I was busy about the house in AM and wrote Ella Nagle. I went up town in PM. Rob came after supper and took me up there. Cora in bed with a cold. Home at eleven oclock. Thursday January 23rd 1930 I sewed some in the forenoon. Ott here for dinner. Hattie here in afternoon. We met Mrs Moss and Mary to go to a picture show. Read in evening. I had letters from Mrs Falk, Harry Able & Ella Nagle. Friday January 24th 1930 I sewed all day on my brown dress I am fixing over. Not quite so cold today. Wrote Mrs Falk in evening and read some in a book. Sunday January 25th 1930 Rob came to take me to S S. I went home with The Byingtons and Ott & I came back at three oclock to a meeting at the church that lasted till three oclock. I stopped at home. Read a book in the evening. Mrs Gay sick in bed. Saturday January 26th 1930 I was home all day sewing on my dress. After supper I gave the rooms a good cleaning. Still cold. Monday January 27th 1930 I did not sleep well last night. But worked on my dress. I got it done by four oclock. I read awhile in the evening and took a bath and went to bed early. Ott here for dinner.
