Tuesday January 28th 1930 I slept all of last night. Hattie here all forenoon. I helped her with some sewing. In the afternoon I did some washing and cleaned windows. Then went up town for some things. I had letters from Ida, Winnie & Laura. She writes Lydia is sick. I wrote to her and Emma Herriott in the evening. Wednesday January 29th 1930 I wrote LeGrand and wrapped a box with a pillow in it for them, Hattie came and worked on her dress. Ott here for dinner. Hattie and I went to see "Rio Reti." I read in evening and looked up some date about Elder Daughter meetings. It was 17 below this AM. Thursday January 30th 1930 I went up to Lou Hughes for a book and to call on Mrs Burnett. Stopped at Getters to get goods to do sewing. I started some work in afternoon. I went up town just before supper to pay grocery bill. I read in evening and wrote Winnie. Weather a little more moderate. Friday January 31st 1930 Mary came for me at noon to go home with her. A pleasant days visit. Cora & Hattie brought me home. I stopped up town. I read and was down stairs in evening. Saturday February 1st 1930 I kept busy with the muslin sewing all day. Was not away from the house. It thawed a lot today, the walking was bad. Letters from Mrs Falk and Ellen Hamilton. Evening with Mrs Gay and read some.
