Wednesday February 12th 1930 The Andersons met me at The Station last night and Ida & I soon went to bed. Reached Chicago on time and went directly to Ill Central station. Got our breakfast. I telephoned Emma Herriott and Mabel McDougall. Winnie came to visit while we were there. Left at 12.30 on Panama Limited. The afternoon soon passed. Had supper early and soon after went to bed. Thursday February 13th 1930 Reached Laurel before eight oclock. Mary met us with the children. Was out in the car most of the afternoon. Went to the station to see about Pullman on from Gulf Port. Wrote Mrs Falk. Evening at home. Friday February 14th 1930 We took a ride and then went through both The Episcopal and Presbyterian churches as well as a Library. Were riding again in the afternoon. I got my reservations to Jacksonville. Wrote Hattie. Evening at home. Frederick showed pictures. Saturday February 15th 1930 Mary took me over to Hattiesburg with Ida and the boys along. It rained on us all the way. I got on the train there and at Gulf Port without getting wet. Had a pleasant days trip. There was a man and wife near me that I enjoyed getting acquainted with. Had supper in The Diner. Went to bed. Rather early. Wrote Ella Nagle while in Gulf Port to sent letter from Emma Herriott.
