Monday March 24th 1930 I wrote a letter to Blanche Black, Soon after dinner Mrs Gibbs took me a delightful ride. Mattie had to go down town. Bess Stitt here for supper. In evening to Elks Club play. Very good. Tuesday March 25th 1930 It was raining most of the night. I wrote Mary & sent check and to Jennie Sterritt. Had letter from Ella Nagle. Evening at home. It began to snow. Wednesday March 26th 1930 It snowed most of the day. I did some sewing and wrote to Winnie and Hattie. I called the depot and ordered a reservation for Friday night. Thursday March 27th 1930 Weather some better. I walked down town in PM. I found a letter from Maruice Reed. I changed my plans. Will go to Portsmouth tomorrow and not start home till Sunday. Wrote Winnie, Hattie & Laura Mason. Friday March 28th 1930 I went to Portsmouth on a forenoon Bus. Got dinner and called on Sallie Reed. She is very feeble. Got back to Piketon at four oclock. Called at Mrs Coopers. Her brother took us out to see their sisters The Brown Girls. It was dark when we got back to Piketon. Wrote Aunt Emma and Bro Ott. Talked to Mrs Pennison awhile.
