Thursday April 3rd 1930 I crotcheted some in AM. We walked over to Monroe St to a church dinner. Then took a street car for a long ride down State St. It was 3.30 when we got home. A letter from Hattie. Wrote to her. Rested all evening. Friday April 4th 1930 I read and crotcheted in forenoon. I went out to Austin in the afternoon to call on Mable McDougall. A pleasant day. Evening here. Saturday April 5th 1930 I helped Winnie with the ironing and crotcheted some. She was down on Madison St to do errands. We both took a good nap after dinner. Later I wrote Ella Nagle and Laura Mason. Sunday April 6th 1930 We left at 8 oclock for Flossmoer to hear Mr Rhind preach. A nice trip. After the service went to their home and they took us for a ride and left us at the station. How I did enjoy seeing them and to hear him preach again. Evening at home reading. Monday April 7th 1930 We went down town before noon. Heard Ruth Hanna McCormick make a speech. Then went to a show "The Lummox." Very good. Letters from Sister Ida and Mrs Pickens. Wrote Bro Ott.
