Tuesday May 27th 1930 We did not get up very early. It rained so we both slept in PM. After early supper took a ride out to Maywood and clear down town coming back. Wednesday May 28th 1930 We went down town to a picture show. Then had lunch and a long street car ride out to LaGrange to see Louie Bremner. It was supper time when we got home. Was tired and went to bed. Thursday May 29th 1930 Rob Whetstones birthday. Winnie came with me to the ten oclock train. I had a nice trip home. After I put my things away went up town and got things for supper. I did some telephoning, unpacked my things. Read papers. Letters from Maurine Reed, Mrs Seaton & Mrs Doyle. I did enjoy my trip to Chicago. Friday May 30th 1930 Was home all day. Busy about the house in AM. Slept in PM. Rob took me up there to spend the evening. The Jellisons and Hattie brought me home. Saturday May 31st 1930 I went to The Cemetery early. Stopped in The Campus to listen to band concert. Got things for the table on the way home. Slept in PM. Hattie came later and Ott took us to his house for his 50 graduation anniversary dinner. Mary helped him through with it beautifully. It was as Fannie would want it. William brought us home. Letters from Laura, Lydia in Peoria Hospital. Wrote them. Letter from Ida.
