Wednesday June 11th 1930 I did some washing. Ott here for dinner. We talked about what I found in monuments at Cedar Rapids yesterday. Mrs Gay took me out to Aunt Emmas in PM. A pleasant visit. Walked home. Letter from Mrs Falk. Thursday June 12th 1930 I did my ironing and some sewing. I had letter from Laura who tells of Lydias serious condition and how they manage with the care of her. Also a letter from Winnie. She may come next week. Hattie here in the afternoon. Mary & Buddy after supper. Read a book. Friday June 13th 1930 Letters from Winnie & Laura. She tells that Stella will be there to help care for Lydia. Rob took me over to Folsoms for the afternoon. I came home by Bus. Was reading in the evening. Saturday June 14th 1930 Did some washing in AM. Left with The Byingtons for Cedar Rapids after lunch. Stopped for Hattie. Mr Kreb had been here in the AM and taken me to the cemetery. We went to his place of business and selected a couple of monuments, one for me and one for The Byingtons Whetstone lot. Later we went to Mr Morris place of business and Ott got a radio that was put in the car. It had rained some before But coming home was a down pour. Hattie and I went on home with The Byingtons. William brought us home at nine oclock.
