Wednesday June 25th 1930 The men phoned before I had breakfast. They were here with the base for the monument for the Byington lot. Mary came to take me up there. I rested in afternoon. Letter from Laura to say Lydia very bad. A letter from Winnie. I wrote both of them. A letter from Ida later. After supper went to the cemetery with The Byingtons. Thursday June 26th 1930 Wrote Ida in time for morning mail. Did some work about the rooms. Weather much cooler. Wrote Mrs Pickens in afternoon, then took a sleep. Read book. Friday June 27th 1930 I did the usual work in AM. My feet are giving me trouble. Mary came in PM to take me to Elder Daughter party at Mrs [Sievers?]. We called for Hattie. A nice time. Rob cane for us. I spent evening there and came home in a taxi. Weather pleasant. Saturday June 28th 1930 Hattie Miller started home this forenoon. I went to the station with them. Stopped at Dr Smiths office. Harold gave me an examination. No trouble unless it be my foot arches. Got my clock. Soon after dinner Mary took me over there. I rested. Came home at 9 oclock. Sunday June 29th 1930 To S S & church. Home with Hattie. Later The Byingtons came and took us to the cemetery to see the monuments I bought. Like it very much. Hattie and I home with The Byingtons. Later took a ride to West Liberty. Home at 9 PM..
