Monday July 21st 1930
Not much rest. Got up with head-ache. Did as little
work as possible. was on the bed all afternoon.
It turned cooler in evening. Letter from LeGrand
Tuesday July 22nd 1930
I did some ironing and work about the house.
Hattie was here awhile. Mary took me to Dr
Urban soon after dinner. I slept awhile after I came
back. Letters from Birdie & Winnie and birthday
cards from Tishie & Jennie. Evening with The Gays.
Wednesday July 28th 1930
My 79th birthday anniversary. Did some telephoning
wrote Ella Nagle. A nice gift came from LeGrand
and Alberta. Hattie & Cora took me to a show in the
PM. Rob gave me a lot of engraved stationery. Mary
a towel and took me over there for the evening with Ott.
Thursday July 24th 1930
I wrote letters most of the AM. Wrote Ott Seibert,
LeGrand, Winnie & Ida. Slept in PM and spent the
evening at Andersons. Going out by street car.
Friday July 25th 1930
Very hot. Mary took me to the doctor in PM. Rob took
me home with hi for supper and to ride later before
leaving me here at home. Wrote Laura in AM. Letter from Ida.
Saturday July 26th 1930
The heat some thing awful. I lay down part of the
time. Rob took me home with him to supper time.
The girls brought me home at ten oclock.
