Wednesday August 6th 1930 I did a little work about the house and wrote Mattie Fletcher. It was after two when Rob came to take me to the doctor. I came home by Bus. After supper rode with The Whetstones. Then we came down to meet Birdie at 7.45. I stopped here at home. Letter from Winnie. Thursday August 7th 1930 I wrote Mattie Stitt. When I got my mail there was a letter from Mrs Pickens and Ida. I wrote her and The Rhinds. Hattie came later and Ott took up to Mollie Folsoms funeral. She looked so changed. I went home with Rob at supper time. We came to picture show. Friday August 8th 1930 I wrote Laura & Winnie. Did some work about the house very hot. The Delavan paper gave such a beautiful tribute to Lydia. Went to The Union to a luncheon with The Shultz family on Dorothys invitation. Spent afternoon with them. Went to Whetstones with The Byingtons in the evening. Letter from Emma Herriott. Saturday August 9th 1930 I did some washing. Cleaned up the house and wrote LeGrand. Slept in PM. The Whetstones took me home with them for supper. Home by taxi at ten oclock. William & Mary to Lake Okaboji & Ott to Chicago tonight. Sunday August 10th 1930 To church with The Anderson. Slept in PM and wrote Mrs Clute & Mrs Falk. Weather much cooler. Rob came and took me up there after I had my supper. Home by taxi at ten oclock. Every body here out riding.
