Thursday September 25th 1930 Left at 12.30 AM for Boise Idaho. Went to train in taxi, changed cars at Omaha where I got the new train. The Portland Rose. It rained on us going through Nebraska. Went to bed early. Friday September 26th 1930 A comfortable days trip. I reached Boise at 4.50. Gerta met me. Spent the evening visiting. I find Mattie very well. Sent mail back from the train. Saturday September 27th 1930 I got more mail ready. Gerta got the car out. we went to The Station to get my suit case. We took Mattie home and Gerta ad I went down town by street car for dinner. At two oclock she got a boy to drive. We went to Nampa & Caldwell. A very beautiful day. Letter from Lois. I will not stop there. Sunday September 28th 1930 We spent the AM here. Miss Davis took dinner with us. Later Ralph Black came to take me to his home for a visit. Very pleasant. he brought me back at none oclock. Monday September 29th 1930 Gerta went to school. I visited with Mattie in AM We both rested in PNM. I did my packing Gerta came from school to go to the depot with me. Left Boise at 5 PM. had supper on the train and went to bed early. Surely the first stop on my journey has been very delightful.
