Wednesday October 15th 1930 I wrote four letters in AM to Hattie, The Masons, Grace Taylor & Julia McCollister. Went out for lunch. Then read Iowa City papers. Anna McCollister came for me at four oclock. We went to see Mary Holson. Wrote LeGrand & Winnie in the evening. Thursday October 16th 1930 Paul Whetstone came for me at nine oclock. A fine ride to Long Beach. Such a pleasant day. with Mrs Doyle. I got back on street car by six oclock. Letters from Bro Ott & Mattie Fletcher. After late lunch spent evening down stairs. Friday October 17th 1930 I wrote to Ott. Mary Holson came to lunch with me. John O'Neil came for a call. After Mary left at 4.30. I read papers. Lizzie Felkner came for the evening. letters from Laura & Cousin Jen. Saturday October 18th 1930 I wrote Cousin Jen and had several phone calls. Went by street car to Celene Ashleys. She met me. After lunch she took Aunty Belle and me a ride. Went to Inglewood to get some more of my papers. Ott is not well. Later they put me on a street car. I had supper before I came to my room. I read awhile and went down stairs. These days are going fast.
