Friday March 11th 1927 Left Piketon at 9.30. Only a short wait at both Chillicothe and Columbus. I found Ida had left for Cleveland a few hours before I got here. I had two letters from Hattie. One from Lydia, Winnie, Mattie Stitt, Bess Eavens and R J Allen. I wrote Lydia before supper and to Ida and Hattie in evening. Read Iowa City papers. Expenses $25.35 while away. Saturday March 12th 1927 I went down to mail letters and to Dr Hasicks office. The sore on my neck is about well. I slept in PM. Miss Reid out for supper. Ida called by phone. She tells Harry is in the hospital again. Very warm today. Letter from Ott. Sunday March 18th 1927 It rained some but I went to church. Wrote Winnie, Ida and Bro Ott and took the letters to the office. Then wrote in this book. Read in the evening. Monday March 14th 1927 When I was writing to Bess Eavens in the forenoon I was startled by someone falling. Miss Reid had a bad fall down the third floor stairs. She was lying down most of the day. I finished her work. Mrs Moore went away early in PM. I was down town. Evening at home. Letter from Tishie. Tuesday March 15th 1927 Miss Reid able to do her work. A letter from Ida. She don't know when she well be home. I wrote to her. I knit some on bead bag today. Went to a home benefit affair in the evening with Mrs Paxton. Very late getting home. Weather simply beautiful.
