Friday April 1st 1927 It was storming so I did not attempt to get up at 5.30 to start to Delavan. Slept late was out a little about noon. I wrote Mrs Willitch, Winnie, Sallie Reed in PM. Then had a good sleep. a rainy afternoon. wrote Hattie again. Saturday April 2nd 1927 I left the hotel at six oclock for The Union Station. It rained most of the day. Changed cars at Indianapolis and Bloomington. When I got to Delavan had a taxi take me to Masons. The girls had company. Soon after they left I went to bed. Was very glad to be here. The trip here from Granville cost me $26.55, Sunday April 3rd 1927 It rained so I did not go out. Laura and Lena to church. Unpacked my things. Wrote Hattie & Winnie in PM. Hattie writes Fannie has been called to Chicago. They think Hattie Miller will soon be able to go home. Mr & Mrs Clark called. I read in the evening. Monday April 4th 1927 it was a showery day. The girls at school. I read in forenoon and talked with Lydia. I slept in PM. A hard rain and some hail at supper time. Tuesday April 5th 1927 I went up town had letter from Ida who said Harry was still at hospital. Hattie writes me George Bremner died Saturday afternoon. Ott went there Sunday night. The funeral was yesterday. I wrote Ida and Hattie. Lydia went out to vote in the afternoon. We were all home in evening. I read some in magazines.
