Friday April 22nd 1927 I was home all day. Did some sewing and wrote a letter to The Gleivers at Portsmouth. Had a letter from Hattie. Laura, Lydia & Lena went to a play at The High School in the evening. Edith and me here at home. Saturday April 23rd 1927 It was cold enough last night to freeze ice nearly a half inch thick. I wrote Hattie in the forenoon and read the papers. I went up town in the afternoon called on Clara Shurts Foster, Miss Scrivner at Donelsons and Lizzie Duncas. Carl brought me home. Cool but pleasant. Sunday April 24th 1927 I walked to S S and church. Mrs Taylor invited me to go home with her for dinner. About two oclock Laura called to say Harry and Mabel had come. They drove over for me. They only stayed till four oclock. Lou Thomas here for supper. Some went to church. Monday April 25th 1927 I was doing some sewing for myself in AM. I had letters from Hattie and Mattie Stitt. I wrote her a long letter in the afternoon. She is still in Los Angeles. This has been Bro Charlies birthday. All here in evening. Tuesday April 26th 1927 A pleasant day. Lena did washing. Dr Linbrug came to work on Lydias teeth. I crotched some. Read the papers and took a nap. The girls busy with their work in the evening. I read some. Early to bed.
