Wednesday April 27th 1927 I was busy with my won affairs in AM. After dinner wrote Hattie, Winnie & Ida. Went to the station to mail them. Slept awhile. Mrs Clarke called later and stayed till after supper. All busy in evening. Thursday April 28th 1927 I was in Lydias room in forenoon reading and talking with her. Had letter from Alice Condon. I crotcheted, read a book, and took a nap in afternoon. After supper Laura and I went to call on Mrs Weidell at Baptist home. Friday April 29th 1927 It rained again last night. I was busy in my room and read in AM. Had letters from Tishie & Winnie, the box from Bess Eavens with black & shite scarf. Wrote Aunt Emma. Walked over to Lizzie Duncans in PM. Carl brought me home. To High School entertainment with Laura in evening. Saturday April 30th 1927 I have a cold, was at home all day. Did a little washing for myself. Wrote Bess Eavens. Laura in Peoria. Sunday May 1st 1927 I did not try to go to church. Read some and took a nap in afternoon. Did packing and visited in evening. Monday May 2nd 1927 I was ready to leave when Mr Albers came to take Edith to school. Left for Chicago at 8.35. Read in a book while waiting in Bloomington. a nice trip. I found a letter from Hattie. Wrote Lydia. Telephoned the McCalls and visited with Winnie till bed-time. A year today left Los Angeles.
