Wednesday June 29th 1927 I came down in the truck. Then went up town to do errands. Letters from Winnie & Laura. Wrote Lydia and finished copying LeGrands letter. I took another treatment for my feet. They hurt afterward. The Byingtons took me home early with Hattie who had been to a luncheon. Thursday June 30th 1927 It was frightfully hot. I did not expect to go down town. Hattie had Fannie & The Shultz for the day. Dorothy is here. I was glad to stay where I was today. Friday July 1st 1927 Some cooler. I came to the rooms and was up town a little while. It rained some. William took me over to their house to spend the afternoon. They took me over to Hatties before supper. She and I spent the evening on the porch. A pleasant day. Saturday July 2nd 1927 I came down town, was in Otts office and the bank. I got things in order to go away Tuesday. The Byingtons came for me. We had a happy day with The Shultz family. Hattie went with The Byingtons later to a picnic. I stopped at my rooms. Rob home but away again. I went up by taxi. Spent evening alone. Sunday July 3rd 1927 Hattie and I to S S and church by taxi. Had lunch down town. Home by street car. Rob came and later took us to Cedar Rapids to meet Cora. He treated us all to supper before we came on home.
