Thursday September 1st 1927 I went up town early. Got a dress at Strohs. I sewed a little after I came home. Soon after dinner Mary came for me. Spent the PM with Fannie. Hattie & Cora called there. Mary brought me home. It was 16 years ago today Mother died. Mr Bremner buried. Friday September 2nd 1927 I took the dress back and got some thing better. Did some other errands. Found such a pretty hat. Hattie came so we went to the first picture show. Cora took us up there at five oclock. I wrote Lydia. It was a very hot day. Home by taxi at 9 oclock. Saturday September 3rd 1927 I went up town in AM. Did several errands. Later I did some sewing and The Byingtons went in the country for apples and took Hattie & me with them. Up town in evening. No mail today. Sunday September 4th 1927 Rob came early to tell me Birdie was here. Ott took me to S S and took Hattie & me to her house after church. She and Birdie came home with me for supper and spent the evening. Monday September 5th 1927 I went up town to see The Labor Day parade. The Whetstones took me over to Byingtons. I was home part of the afternoon. When they came from taking Birdie to the depot Rob & Hattie stopped for me. I was up there till bed-time. very warm in my room.
