Tuesday September 6th 1927 I was up town for mail. From Lydia some parts of their paper. No word from Lizzie Lindley. I was in the rooms the rest of the day. very warm. But a shower about the middle of the afternoon. In evening found letter mislaid. Sent air place letter. Wednesday September 7th 1927 Hattie here in AM. Letter from Lydia. Wrote to her. Went home with Rob at lunch time. Very warm. Cora to a party. Hattie rode to West Liberty with Rob. Clara Shultz brought me home. Jennie Sterritt here in evening. Later a Mrs Miller & Miss Gordon. We talked Delavan. Wrote Warner McCall. Thursday September 8th 1927 Was up town in AM. Wrote Lizzie Duncan in afternoon. It was a frightfully hot day. Did not go out again. This is Hatties wedding day. The Old Settlers Picnic today. Friday September 9th 1927 I was up town in the morning. Wrote Lizzie Lindley in PM. The Whetstones with Hattie here late in afternoon. She stayed for supper and we went to picture show. Mrs Searles here to. Sent [illeg] of [once?] Saturday September 10th 1927 Rob brought me a telegram from Lizzie this AM. She is expecting me. I was up town then & did some of my packing. The Hedges Folks here in PM. Mrs Searles for the key. Rob took me to depot to check suit case and get ticket. To Whetstones for supper. They took me to the station. The Byingtons there. Left at 7.45 for West Liberty. Very warm day.
