Sunday September 18th 1927 We took a short ride in AM. The young folks started home soon after dinner. I took a nap. Then read some. We went to church in evening. Monday September 19th 1927 I read Iowa City papers. Began some crotchet work. We went to a show in PM "Johny get your hair cut" by Jackie Coogan. weather still warm at home. Tuesday September 20th 1927 Had letter from Mrs Moore. Wrote Hattie. We were up town in PNM. Read when not visiting. Wednesday September 21st 1927 I was busy with my own affairs in AM. I was up town alone in PM. Letter from Hattie written Sunday. It had turned colder. I read in the evening. Thursday September 22nd 1927 I read part of the day. Had letter from Ott and Iowa City papers. We went to prayer meeting in evening. Friday September 23rd 1927 We were home all day. Had letter from Lydia. Wrote to her. Lizzie and I made a call after supper on a neighbor. Saturday September 24th 1927 I crotcheted most of forenoon. Went up town to do errand for Lizzie. When I got back found letter from Warner McCall and Iowa City papers. Lizzie had The Minister and family here for supper. We did up the work and read in some books we had.
