Thursday October 13th 1927 I left Des Moines at 11.30. Rob met me and brought me up to the house. I went back with him to see how long the people want my rooms. The girls were away to the party. Wrote Mattie Fletcher. Friday October 14th 1927 The Byingtons were here for dinner. Mary took Buddy home. When she came back Hattie took us all to see "Ben Hur." Hattie and I went down to my rooms for a few minutes. Evening here at Hatties. Cora took Blanche to Cedar Rapids to take the train home. Hattie and I rode along. I stopped down town to pay bills, was at the rooms to get some laundry ready. Home by taxi. Letter from Lydia. Wrote L D L. Sunday October 16th 1927 Rob took Hattie & me to S S and Ott brought us home after church. Wrote Winnie. Weather fine. Monday October 17th 1926 I went to the cemetery in the AM. Called at Ella Sanders. To town with Rob in afternoon. Did some errands and was at the rooms. Home by street car. Tuesday October 18th 1927 I was busy with my own affairs in forenoon. Hattie and I went to the funeral of Gretchen Swisher at the M E Church in afternoon. Then called on Mrs Bradway. Hattie went to a lecture but I came home by street car. Evening reading and listening to radio.
