Thursday November 3rd 1927 I was up town part of forenoon. I bought the material for curtains. Worked at them all afternoon. Went to prayer meeting in evening. Called on Mrs Bradway on the way. The Andersons brought me home. Friday November 4th 1927 Went up town in AM. Called at Hardys to see people here from Delavan. Sewed all afternoon. After supper wrote card to Lydia and short letter to Emma David. By invitation student mass meeting with The Harters and The Doyles. Wrote letter to Lizzie Lindley later. Saturday November 5th 1927 Hattie came early. Gertrude Thompson was with her. Later we walked up to The Capitol building to hear the dedication of Gov Kirkwood Statue. Ott was one of the speakers. Hattie came home with me to lunch. We went up to see the crowd go down to the game. She went on home. I went up before supper in a taxi. The Bremners and Byingtons here. I staid all night. Sunday November 6th 1927 We went to S S and church in a taxi and Elmer Anderson brought us down to my place. Later The Byingtson called for us and took us to The Bremners car on track where we had a wonderful dinner. Had pheasant for meat. I stopped at my place when Hattie went on home. I read some in evening and wrote to Carrie Wilson in Des Moines.
