Saturday November 12th 1927
I went up town late in forenoon. Tishie & Elmira
and Ida Anderson called in the afternoon.
I wrote Ida and went up town after supper. Evening with Mrs Doyle.
Sunday November 13th 1927
Ott came to take me to S S. Hattie came home
with me from church and we had dinner nearby.
Later Ott came to take us to the Cemetery. I was
pleased with the new marker at Wills grave and the
one at Mays. We left Hattie and I went home with
him. Stayed till evening. He brought me home.
Monday November 14th 1927
I went up town early and was busy with sewing
&c the rest of the day. Hattie here in afternoon.
Ott had dinner with me. Letters from Lizzie L D
and Laura Mason. There was a hard rain in the
evening. Wrote Mr Harry Rowe and Winnie in evening.
Tuesday November 15th 1927
I was home all day. Sewed some. Mrs Benda
came in awhile. Ida Anderson here. Hattie came for
supper and we went to The S. U. I. play. Rob brought us home.
Letters from The Boswells.
Wednesday November 16th 1927
Went up town early. When I got back found a letter
from Lizzie Lindley telling that Rob & Hattie Lindley
had an accident at Flagstaff Arizona and that
Hattie was killed. I wrote Lizzie, Carrie Wilson
at Des Moines and Mattie Fletcher. Took letters
to PO before supper. Made tatting in evening.
