Wednesday November 23rd 1927 I was busy sewing all forenoon. had a telegram from Ida that she did not feel able to come. Hattie & Cora took me over to Byingtons in the afternoon. It was Buddys birthday. he is three years old. We had a nice visit. William home. It was raining when we came home. Letter from Lydia today. Thursday November 24th 1927 I went up to Hatties by taxi and the rest of the folks soon after. Marys sister was with them. The dinner and the day was very enjoyable. Ott took us for a ride and left me here in S M. I wrote Ida & Lydia and cousin Jen. Mr Doyle in for awhile. I went to bed early. Very tired. Wrote Winnie in evening. Friday November 25th 1927 I was busy at home most of AM. Went up to Hatties by street car in time for lunch. She had the group meeting in the afternoon. Nice time. I ride home with Neta Mercer. Had letters from L D L telling how Hattie was killed by a truck driven onto their car. Ott Seibert wrote about it. I wrote Lizzie and sent the letter back. A letter from Mays daughter thanking me for the marker at Mays grave. Saturday November 26 1927 I cleaned up my rooms and went up town for things needed. Mrs Doyle and I went to a picture show in the afternoon. I got supper and worked at my tatting. Talked to Mollie Stevens and Aunt Emma. Read awhile. William & Mary here.
