Thursday January 12th 1928 Mary brought me home before noon. Aunt Emma came was here for dinner and till four oclock. Mrs Doyle invited me to eat supper with her. Jennie Sterritt here for a call in evening. Letter from Mattie Stitt. Friday January 13th 1928 I was busy till Mary came for me at eleven oclock. I read and took care of Buddy in the PM while she was away. She brought me home at 8 oclock. I have had a wretched cough for three days. I read in a book all the evening. Ott home tonight. Saturday January 14th 1928 I fixed my cushions in the forenoon and a dress I had washed in afternoon. Cora phone early that a telegram told the Girls reached Pheonix yesterday AM. I went up town before supper. Wrote Hattie and read. Weather fine all week. Sunday January 15th 1928 I coughed so I did not try to go to church. Ott came for me to go home with him. He brought me home at four oclock. I read in the evening. Monday January 16th 1928 I had a bad night but did my regular work. Went to M E Church to Mr Mercers funeral. Ott there. I felt bad, went to bed early. Letter from Ott Seibert. Monday January 17th 1928 Jennie Sterritt here. I loaned her $50.00. I wrote to Ella Nagle, Nettie Moore & Laura Cate. Mary and I up to The University play in evening. Late home.
