Thursday July 5th 1928 We went to cemetery in forenoon. Wrote a steamer letter to the folks and mailed before 2 oclock for air mail. Later wrote W B Mc--- After supper went to Lou Hughes. Ida out to Elmer Andersons. Friday July 6th 1928 I went up town. Hattie & Mollie Stevens here awhile in forenoon. A letter from Laura. They have Lydia at home. Wrote her. Ida & I to show in evening. Saturday July 7th 1928 Was up town early. Ida did some washing. I went all over the house. I read and rested in PM. After supper The Byingtons with Marys sister came to take up for a ride. Frightfully hot for two days. Mary gave me a letter from the folks written in N.J. Sunday July 8th 1928 Still very warm. We did not go to church. There was a hard rain in afternoon. We visited and read. I have a very sore throat. Miss Kleim here in evening. Monday July 9th 1928 I did some washing and got the meals. I slept awhile in afternoon. Hattie & Cora came for Ida to go to lecture. Mary & [Ilo?] here awhile. I was in Miss Kleims room too. Tuesday July 10th 1928 Ida went to the Dr. I was up town for things for dinner. Had letters from Laura and Winnie. Rested in afternoon. Wrote Mabel McDougall and Birdie. It rained so we could not go out in evening.
