Sunday August 19th 1928 We were home all day. Read and rested. Late in the afternoon Will & Flora Levagood called at 7 oclock. The Doyles came and took us to ride for three hours. Very pleasant to be with them. Monday August 20th 1928 We went down town and met Mrs Doyle at Fields. Spent the time with her till four oclock. Was at a show and had lunch together. Spent the evening at Fred Givens. Fine day. Tuesday August 1st 1928 I went out to see Warner again. He had been ill for two days. Soon after lunch the phone rang and Fannie was on the line. They were in Chicago. Winnie went to The Union Station with me. Then on to see The Byingtons. Reached Delavan 9.10. Wednesday August 22nd 1928 Had a fine nights test. Visited with The Girls. Letters from Hattie & Mrs Falk. Wrote Mrs Doyle, Hattie & Winnie. Slept some in PM. A fine cool day. Thursday August 23rd 1928 I was home all day. Spent evening with Mrs Hatten. Friday August 24th 1928 I went over town in taxi. Called at Cora Fosters, Harty McKinstrys, Jennie Culbertsons. Was at Lizzie Duncans for dinner. They brought me home. Letters from Hattie & Cousin Jen. The girls got the window in the closet in their mothers room today.
