Thursday October 11th 1928
I went over to Byingtons awhile. Rode both
ways with Mary. Slept awhile after dinner. Very
warm for the season. Met Hattie up town after
supper and she came down here awhile. Wrote Ida & Mrs Doyle.
Friday October 12th 1928
It rained some in the AM. I did cleaning. Then
wrote Winnie before dinner. Later wrote Lydia. Went
to PO. and paid for lamp at McNamaras. Did other
errands. Sat on the porch and read. Home in evening.
Saturday October 13th 1928
I went up to Hatties by street car. We were there
alone. Went to Cedar Rapids with Ott & Fannie in
the afternoon. I came home by taxi and brought
some pictures I wanted from there. Went to PO to
mail letter to Ott Seibert. Did some errands. A fine day.
Sunday October 14th 1928
Otts car wrong. I rode to church with Mrs [Gesir?] and
home with Andersons. After dinner took a sleep
and went to Stevens with The Anderson & Aunt
Emma. Got a bit of supper and to Hatties by street
car to stay all night. Rob & Robert both home later.
Monday October 15th 1928
I came home before breakfast with Rob. Wrote
Ott Seibert & W B Mc---. Took the letters to the office
and met Hattie & The Byingtons at The Englert. When
we came out William took us a ride in their new
car. It was raining. Spent evening home reading.
