Thursday January 1st 1925 Weather quite peasant I wrote LeGrand and Warner McCall in the forenoon. After dinner Rob brought Hattie and Birdie over. He had gone to Burlington for her yesterday. Later the Lee family called. Ott read aloud to us most of the evening Friday January 2nd 1925 I wrote a letter to Lydia and went to town in a taxi. Was at Otts office and the bank. I went to see about the new trunk I bought. I rode home with Rob for dinner. Later one of the boys from the store took me out to Aunt Emmas. I came home by bus & street car. I wrote Mrs. Falk and Mabel McDougall in evening. I got word today I can get a reservation out of Chicago Wednesday night the 7th Saturday January 3rd 1925 I was busy sewing in my room most of the day. The Swishers called in afternoon. Hattie was here too. I rode back to town with her to do some errands. Rob sent me home. Sewed and Ott read to us in evening. Sunday January 4th 1925 I went to church in a taxi and came back the same way. Weather moderate. Fannie had The Shafters here for dinner. After they were gone Emma Fellman called. I copied addresses in a new book. Ott read aloud most of the evening
